Boasting a superbly balanced design that perfectly unites sensitivity, support, power, and use. The Chimera, like the Drago, is sensitive, but it also has more edging prowess because of a TPS plastic midsole insert (rather than the softer Flexan insert used in the Drago and Furia). Overall fit is enhanced by the full-length off-set lacing system which when drawn in tight, give an unparalleled suction fit with no or minimal dead space.
PCB-Tensioning enables for a small ‘Power Connection Band' to run down the sole base, allowing for outstanding natural foot movement while maintaining the shoe's shape and form when in use. The Vibram XS Grip2 two-piece sole unit and SRT randing system wrap sticky rubber (not rand rubber!) over the whole upper toe box, giving the Chimera probably the finest toe-hooking of any shoe on the market. Finally, the heel is responsive, snug, and deep, with enough substance to protect the foot against uneven hooks and cams.
