The Beal Cobra II Unicore Dry Cover 8.6mm is a technical and strong, classic climbing rope to support the most difficult demands of traditional climbing.

Now featuring UNICORE technology, the Cobra is light, robust and free running for ease of use on long routes, big crags and on ice (treatment permitting).

DryCover
Every filament in the sheath of Beal DryCover ropes is treated with a water repellent chemical before the rope is manufactured. This chemical covering is polymerised at high temperature to prolong the life of the dry treatment, thus adding to the durability of the rope. On a Beal DryCover rope, the core is not treated.

Unicore
The UNICORE process bonds the sheath of the rope to the core. This prevents sheath slippage, but also helps to keep the structural integrity of the rope if it is cut or damaged.
